At the January 10, 2017 Minneapolis School Board meeting, the district will pay tribute to outgoing directors and welcome three new board members. The board will also recognize the outgoing student representative and announce the new student rep.
At 5:30 p.m. in the Board of Education Assembly Room at the Davis Center, 1250 W. Broadway, Judge Pamela Alexander will swear in the newly elected directors. Judge Alexander was originally appointed to the Bench by Governor Rudy Perpich in 1983 making her the first African American woman Judge in the State of Minnesota. She is currently serving in the Juvenile Division.
After the ceremony there will be a reception in the North Gate Café. The board meeting will reconvene after the reception.
